Security Upgrade Notification for KOTA File Retrieval

Issue Time: August, 2023

In accordance with the latest security requirements of AWS S3, ThroughTek’s KOTA service must now utilize the TLS 1.2 protocol. This policy is aimed to ensure the utmost protection of your data during the transmission process.

Please note the following:

Effective Date: Starting from January 1, 2024, all devices/clients must use TLS 1.2 protocol when performing OTA file retrieval.
Action Requirement: Please ensure that your devices and systems support TLS 1.2 protocol. Failure to meet this requirement will result in unsuccessful OTA operations.
Data Security: By utilizing the TLS 1.2 protocol, your data is encrypted during the transmission process, thereby mitigating the risk of data leakage.

We strongly recommend that you update your devices at your earliest convenience to comply with this policy. If you have any questions, please contact ThroughTek’s FAE.
